Day 12: "Turn on the Radio" by Reba McEntire

Hi all, Today's video will be the first of several country songs on here that I'm trying out for when I compete in the Country Showdown later this summer! Today's main lesson is "know the song you're singing" (the words, the timing, etc.). I think my vocal sounded okay, but I look really confused in the video because I'm looking to the side/down for my lyrics and vaguely worried about getting the timing of certain things right. In any case, I got through it on my first take, so I decided to not tempt fate, and just go with it. I'm really surprised at how quickly I can get these done now! *knock on wood*

Next steps: get better at playing with the color in the videos, get the video quality right, and really work on not maxing out the mic. I can't see my mic input levels when I record video at the same time, so I'm just going to have to work on it! In the meantime, enjoy!
